10.05.09 RODNEY TO TOM BRADY: TAKE OFF THE SKIRT
Before yesterday, Rodney Harrison had contributed absolutely nothing in his first year as an “analyst” for NBC’s Sunday Night football coverage. He’s done nothing to separate himself from the notion that analysts are nothing more than notable ex-players thrust in front of the camera without any ability to bring the viewer closer to bring the viewer into the game. And so instead of trying to make any sort of notable point about this questionable roughing-the-passer call in the Patriots-Ravens game yesterday, he called out Patriots quarterback Tom Brady for…something.
Horrible call. You can’t make this call. And Tom Brady, if you’re listenin’, take off the skirt and put on some slacks. Toughen up.
To be fair, Harrison is the guy lost in the shuffle with the addition of Uncle Tom Dungy; Rodney’s opportunities to say anything are fairly limited. That said, let’s back the truck up. Brady didn’t throw the flag on Terrell Suggs, the referee did. And secondly, if taking two steps and falling into a guy’s knee isn’t a personal foul [depending on the language of the rule], it should be. Regardless of the amount of contact, how can a lunge into a guy’s knee like that be construed as anything but forcible?
And Ray Lewis, if you’re going to play the victim on-camera again anytime soon? Try a different hat.

Dan Koppen shoves Suggs down as he’s going by him, Suggs stumbles to the ground near Brady’s legs. Brady points at Suggs, cries to the ref, and fist pumps when the flag is thrown. That’s why he wearing a skirt. Unitas would have been embarrassed to have that penalty called. But then again, Unitas was a man.

You must have been too busy ironing your “tom brady is my homie” tshirt to see this play. Ray Lewis was pushed by a Patriot towards Tom Brady’s knees. If you watch the damn video its obvious. And Tom might as well have thrown the yellow flag because it wasnt coming out until he called for it. Plus, you could barely classify it as grazing the knee.
And in Harrison’s defense, he wasnt the only commentator that felt Brady was acting like a girl.
You must have been watching another highlight because it was Suggs who scraped Brady’s leg. Ray Ray is just Suggs’ personal PR rep (that’s why he gets to wear the cool hat).
The only thing that bothers me more than officials blowing calls, are wannabe sportswriters with an agenda. IMO, Punte is definitely kissing Brady’s ass….among other things.

And randomguy is correct that Brady did essentially throw the flag by looking at the ref and making the “throw a flag” motion generally practiced only by bitchass receivers. Brady makes Lamar Latrell look like Chuck Norris.
Brady has always worn a skirt, even at that so called college in Ann Arbor. He is nothing more than a wimp and a wuss and always will be. What ever he saysd the ref’s do. So until he can learn to take a hit like a real football player he will always have the skirt on. He should play powdewr puff football then he won’t have to worry about getting hit like a man.

So let me get this right… if you’re an African American who promotes education, stresses hard work, demands accountability, doesn’t ‘axe a question’ but ‘asks a question’, doesn’t demand respect but earns it, and conducts his daily life with dignity and class… then you’re an Uncle Tom.
