White Sox pitcher Mark Buehrle faced 27 batters this afternoon and retired all of them. Buehrle threw the second no-hitter of his career against the Rays, winning today in Chicago, 5-0. The perfect game was saved in the ninth when Gabe Kapler led off with a deep drive to left-center, forcing Dewayne Wise to make a leaping catch to preserve the game for Buehrle and rob Kapler of a home run.
Video’s after the jump. If it doesn’t give you goosebumps, then I’m not sure we could be friends anymore.
vid.

The blood of Rays’ batters should appease the God Obama!
Fuck you, Hawk Harrelson.
Dewayne Wise’s catch would make the balls of a 5 year old boy drop.
I saw this game on MLB.tv, that catch was fucking sweet. I’m super pumped because my fantasy team got a 81.5 from Buehrle, which was sweet redemption because he was on my team when he pitched his no-hitter…and he was on my bench that week. It took 2 years for him to make up for it but make up for it he did.
You know Biggie I was just sitting here saying “I wonder how that guy BiggieLaing’s fantasy baseball team is doing. Is it possible Buehrle’s perfect game helped his cause?”
With all due respect to Biggie, +10 Dimple.
His other no-no was against the Rangers, not the Rays.
I was actually watching this on MLB and my boss came up to me in the 9th and started talking.
I told him to shut up the game was on…
/man imma miss that job
I suppose I deserved that. Never had a perfect game before…I was pumped. Touche dimpie…touche.
I couldn’t help it Biggie, had to be done.
Serves me right for talking sports on a sports blog, lol
