Due to the economic disturbances most of the sports lovers are away form watching the National games!! Attendance is actually UP in Milwaukee. It’s all about knowing what your fans want and keeping the price within reason. I sat just past 3rd base for $30. Tailgated (drank a six pack) in the parking lot before the game, had a brat and a beer in the stadium ($12.50)

@MMP – The Nats only average about 50% capacity, so I’m not sure what you’re talking about. If they win, more people will show up. The same thing happened with the Caps. In Ovechkin’s rookie year, the mezzanine was always full and the lower bowl was always empty. They started winning and everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

I went to the Braves vs. D-Backs games in PHX last month. I got front row seats behind the Braves dugout for $30 and a joint. (face value was like $145-$175 and he “aksed” me if I had weed cause I had just clipped a joint and he smelled it on me, either way, drinking an entire fifth of Maker’s Mark that you snuck in 9 innings seems like a great idea at the time, but the alcohol poisoning is the worst in the morning)

I agree; it’s most certainly the cost of a ticket keeping fans away from Nationals’ games.

OR (and I’m just thinking out loud here) it could be due to the trifling fact that they are to baseball what Celine Dion is to music (i.e. something that should’ve been aborted in Canada years ago.)
