HOLY CRAP: I guess during Mitts’ break with Feeley, she started dating (fifth item) James Blake. I guess what they say isn’t true after all.

Soccer star Heather Mitts and Philadelphia Eagles’ backup dump truck A.J. Feeley are set to tie the knot in 2010. Some people were wondering if they were still dating, but I think people like that need more to do, like maybe look for better jobs or help the homeless. “I’d love to play in a World Cup before I retire, but that’s another 2 1/2 years,” she added. “That’s the aim right now. But two gold medals isn’t bad; it’s a good consolation.”

Those golden baubles, however, seemed to lose their gleam in comparison to the diamond engagement ring Mitts received in December from Philadelphia Eagles quarterback A.J. Feeley.

“I was completely surprised,” gushed Mitts, who indicated the couple have set a date (Feb. 13, 2010) and location (Cabo San Lucas, Mexico) for their wedding. “I was heading home to Cincinnati that day for the holidays and it was a great early Christmas present.”

St. Ursula Academy’s own said in Boston Magazine that she didn’t mind posing for sexy photos as long as they were “athletic and tasteful,” but I’m sure after years of tasting backup quarterback seed, “tasteful” is a relative term.
