Terrell Owens was released by the Dallas Cowboys last night. Because being a total foreskin gobbler to everyone around you doesn’t work when you only catch 69 balls for 1,052 yards.
“There are several decisions on our roster we have to look at,” Jones said in February. “This is the time of year we do that. I’m not trying to be trite, but as you all know we’re evaluating players in college, we’re evaluating free agents and we’re evaluating our own roster. This is an ongoing thing, not any different than this time last year.”
The Cowboys paid Owens a $12 million signing bonus just last year, included as part of a new four-year, $34 million deal. Dallas will take a roughly $9 million salary cap hit with the release of Owens.
The Raiders have expressed interest in Owens, but he can forget about landing as hefty a payday as the one he received in Dallas last year. At this rate, Owens should just hope he gets another last chance.

“the raiders have expressed interest in Owens”…….i find the timing of this ironic, if only this had been sooner he might have buddied up with Marquis Cooper and gone fishing thus solving everyone’s problems. Carl Sagan is full of shit, the universe doesn’t balance itself out.

I also think that I speak for Cowboys fans everywhere when I say this: I will miss having a player as highly rated as T.O on my team every time I sit down to play a video game.

If you’ve seen Russell play, you may not think that’s too far from the truth. As long as Owens stays away from McFadden I’m cool with it.

What a moron. He whines like a little bitch about being on a team that could have made it pretty far into the playoffs a couple years in a row if Tony Romo wasn’t such a choke artist; now he’s going to be ending his career on a cellar team after alienating everyone he’s ever played for/with.
His publicist’s only comment was “now, Terrell has no reason to live.”
I’d keep a close eye on jessica, Tony. She’s starting to fill out and now Owens is leaving town? You sure there wasn’t any QB sneak practices happening behind your back? It might explain the butter fingers….
