02.06.09 HERE IS A NICE HOCKEY HIGHLIGHT
The Panthers’ Richard Zednik scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal by leaping over the Islanders’ Brendan Witt, then sliding the puck into the net — a series of actions that are apparently not easy to do while on ice skates. Total Pro Sports is calling it the “goal of the year,” which makes it approximately the tenth goal of the year in the year’s first 37 days.
In a related story, Richard Zednik is the same guy who just a year ago almost died on the ice after he got his THROAT SLASHED WITH A SKATE!!!! YEAHHHHHH!!!!! I mean, uh, it was a terrible accident. Glad to see him doing so well.

on a related note, given the choice of having my throat cut or going to watch a hockey game, I would need more information about parking and concession stand prices before making a selection.
WWSM – i know i’m one of the resident hockey homers around here (i’m the one that’s not vaguely racist and repetitive) but seriously, you would love a hockey game live. If you update your comment to choosing between a Panthers/Islanders game on TV, I might understand. No one wants that shit.
I thought that was oatstanding too, eh.
Hoc-key?
@Pauly- really, I mean really?
WWSM, don’t listen to Merk. He just wants your internet money, buddy.
While the goal was pretty sweet, I must express my disdain towards the commentator Bryan Mudryk, nobody wants to hear him.
/extremely hateful towards TSN.
What what? in WWSM’s butt.
I take great offense to that “vaguely racist” comment, Merk. There’s nothing vague about it.
Speaking of great offense*, the Kings put 5 on the Caps on their way to taking the season series 2-0. This after some prick on NHL Network gave the Kings no chance.

*Yea, I’m pretty proud of that.
In other news, Basketball- still gay.
I didn’t see any fights. So…moving along.
Great goal. Don King was at the game, and was in the booth when that goal happened. It’s kind of funny hearing him describe that goal. Sadly, he didn’t say “Only in America!”
