01.02.09 MAN BICYCLES 180 MILES TO SLEEP W/ TEENAGER
The trial has begun for a 26-year-old man who allegedly bicycled 180 miles from Maryland to Pennsylvania in order to have sex with a 15-year-old girl he met on MySpace. William Wagner is charged with statutory sexual assault and a handful of other crimes after he copulated with the teen on a baseball field several times during the summer. Obviously someone took the phrase “If there’s grass on the field, play ball” a little too literally.
She said he’d come to Scranton in June to meet her and they had intercourse at the Pine Brook baseball field, Sanderson Avenue and Green Place.
Police in Maryland interviewed Mr. Wagner, who allegedly admitted he’d come to Scranton and had sex with her. He said he stayed at the baseball field and never went to the teen’s house during the three days he was in Scranton.
Without getting caught up in the fact that this guy is probably going to prison, the degree of difficulty on this one is pretty high. Everyone knows teenage girls only go for guys with cars. The fact that he did this without a Camaro or even a bed is pretty impressive. If it weren’t so illegal this could be a new Olympic sport. Statutory biathlon.
