01.07.09 DOG BITES GIRL; BOY CHOKES DOG
As usual, being able to kick ass comes in handy, as a nine-year-old boy protected a girl and her dog from a pit bull attack by employing moves he’d learned in his jiu-jitsu class. Drew Heredia was walking with an older girl and her dog when the put bull surprised them.
Heredia who has been training at Bakersfield Brazlian Jiu-jitsu for about 2 months says he and a friend were walking her small dog [a chihuahua-dachsund mix] Tuesday when, out of nowhere, a pit bull jumped on the dog.
The 12-year-old girl tried to save her little dog and the pit bull turned on her. Heredia says he jumped on the dog and applied a chokehold and held the dog for 20 minutes until an animal control officer arrived.
Hmmm… I like it. Kids versus dogs. Could use some tweaking, though. If we’re going to do MMA fights versus animals, I’d much rather see Tito Ortiz versus a grizzly bear, or Randy Couture versus a Bengal tiger, or Brock Lesnar versus 200 starving rats, or hobos getting dumped into a shark tank. I guess that last one doesn’t really fit in so much, but c’mon, who doesn’t want to see sharks eat hobos?
