12.04.08 ESPN PRODUCER IN JAIL FOR METH, KIDDIE PORN
A former ESPN producer was sentenced to five years in prison yesterday for possession of child pornography. While covering the NBA playoffs in 2007, Kevin McMahan was arrested in Salt Lake City when airport officials discovered 46 pornographic DVDs in his checked luggage, as well as marijuana and methamphetamines. Bad idea. You gotta tote that in your carry-on.
McMahan told the judge that he would accept the court’s decision, but added that his real punishment began the day he was arrested. His wife has divorced him, his teenage sons want nothing to do with him, some friends have rejected him and his work prospects once out of prison look dim.
Whoa, that’s crazy. People are usually so open-minded about vast kiddie porn collections.
Although now I’m kinda curious as to why he had so many DVDs in his luggage. Did he bring them along just for the trip, or did he buy them in Utah? I could see Utah having a lot of kiddie porn. Utah’s the child molesting uncle of states.

I heard McMahan came up with the idea for “Outside the Lines” while watching a girlfriend struggle with her coloring book.

I wonder if he tried to claim “profiling” discrimination by the airport security? Cuz he’s the last guy I’d suspect of doing drugs or hording kiddie porn…
