12.11.08 BULLS DANCERS OWN MISS ILLINOIS PAGEANT
Last year, Chicago Luvabulls dancer Shanon Lersch (left) won the Miss Illinois USA crown; last weekend, she passed the crown on to teammate Ashley Bond (right), who will compete for the Miss USA title next April in Las Vegas.
Great story, and congrats to the Luvabulls. Miss USA is way better than the Miss America pageant. Miss America takes place in Atlantic City and all the women have to have unsexy platforms like “Feed the Children” or “Find a Cure for Cancer” or “Help Old People.” Miss USA is run by Donald Trump in Vegas. Contestants are expected to show up in bikinis and be ready to shake what God gave ‘em. Advantage: boobs.
