The University of Oregon hasn’t had a baseball team in three decades, but that will change this spring. And thanks to the college’s unholy pact of eye-rape with Nike, the baseball Ducks will take the field in the monstrosities you see here. From the press release:
“I would like to thank Nike for being able to create an incredible functional and aesthetically pleasing uniform,” [coach George] Horton said. “Nike really hit a grand slam. We are very excited to wear these uniforms and represent this great University.”
Oh yes, “aesthetically pleasing” AND “functional.” Functional is especially tough. Wow! Stretchy pants and a loose shirt! The demands of baseball require such a difficult uniform design!
By the way, as Uni Watch points out, this could be the first step in Nike’s attempt to get the contract for ALL of Major League Baseball’s uniforms when Majestic’s contract runs out next year. Sweet. Just when I thought I couldn’t get any less inclined to watch baseball.

Try to get the (duck) bill of your cap even flatter there, Mr. O jersey. It makes it even easier for me to want to punch you in the throat.
I didn’t think it was possible to get a big O WITH pants on.
/shows self out.
please tell me the big “O” uni was photoshopped by 289
Step 1: Start a baseball team
Step 2: ?
Step 3: Profit!
Quack, Quack, Quack…oh wrong corporate sponsor…
They all look so thrilled.
I’m gonna show her my “O” jersey…you know what I’m talkin about.
@ Enrico
Profit? How many people do you know that go to college baseball games??
Oh no, Oregon released really standard baseball uniforms (with the exception of the O one). Do you just get pissed when they do anything? 3 out of the 4 uniforms are exactly like every other schools’.
