09.22.08 KNEES AREN’T SUPPOSED TO BEND THAT WAY
Texas tight end Blaine Irby was blossoming into one of quarterback Colt McCoy’s favorite targets this season. Right up to the point that his knee got bent backwards. Oh yeah, that’s gonna need surgery.
Besides the fact that I’m not fast or muscular, this is why I could never play football. Four years in the Marines aged my legs twenty years. I can’t walk on a hillside without spraining an ankle. If I got hit like this, my lower leg get completely sheared off my body. That would probably suck for a while, but I bet I could get a prosthesis that stored booze.

I did four years in the Marines AND THEN four years of college football…I can’t walk up a flight of stairs with our fear of a major injury anymore…Also, I was at a game Saturday where a kid suffered a compound tibia and fibia fracture, leg did a complete 90 angle about halfway down from the knee.
um…I guess this isn’t funny…
