05.13.08 LEBRON HAS NO REGARD FOR HUMAN LIFE
Following up this morning's recap, here are videos of the must-see plays last night. Top billing: LeBron James's thunderous dunk that nailed the corpse in the coffin for the Celtics. Adding to the drama, announcer Kevin Harlan aces the call, shouting, "LeBron James, with no regard for human life!" And it's true. I heard LeBron burned down a sweat shop filled with Taiwanese children. I think it's part of having a Nike contract — something about helping eliminate competition once a year.
The other highlight from last night was Asdrubal Cabrera's unassisted triple play, just the 14th in major league history, which is saying a lot considering the game is 372 years old and every team plays 162,000 games a year. I put it after the jump, because whatever. It's just a guy catching a ball, stepping on a base, and making a tag. Whoopty-doo. Feel the history.

Whycomes that triple play clip shows the crowds reaction and they are in olde-timey 1.5x speed? Feels like there should be grainy footage with bowler caps and people offering nickel mustache rides.

@DEF…. those were the days. Now i’m paying upwards of $5 for mustache rides these days. I heard there was an auction for charity in which a Tom Selleck mustache ride caught $35,900. Well what do ya know about that?

It's amazing how something as tired, cliche and overdone as a dunk can be a million times more awesome than a baseball play that has only occurred a handful of times ever. God baseball sucks.

So help out a newcomer to the internet. What the hell are the parts of a comment that are at the bottom after the backslash? Are those, like, stage directions, or is there a less gay explanation that I don't know about. Are they supposed to be as aggresively unfunny as they always are?
