Alert the Washington Post! High school athletes have once again been exploited on risqué Web sites! This time it's shots of high school water polo players that are popping up on gay porn sites, and parents are predictably pissed.
The shots are of dozens of apparently unsuspecting high school water polo players from San Diego, Los Angeles and Orange counties. The photos of the athletes are mingled with pictures of nude young men and young males engaged in sexual acts…
Legal experts say pictures taken at public events such as high school sporting competitions are generally protected by both the California and U.S. Constitutions. "I think as soon as we start muzzling people in terms of what they can do with public events and what photos they can show and not show… there's a real freedom of press issue," [law professor David] Steinberg said.
