Awww, how sad. Yankees fans are upset that their manager of the last decade is leaving. Hey buddy, here's another verse for you: "Joe, Joe / I always bring up our 26 championships / I call opposing fans 'faggot' in Yankee Stadium / I'm a big reason the rest of the country hates New York City / Don't go, Joe." I guess that doesn't quite rhyme, but I'm still working out some of the specifics.
As you can see, I'm pretty fucking broken up about it, too.

You have to wonder if Willie Randolph will get a tribute song.
NYC sports media's default settings: typical schitzophrenia and all about Torregate — which buried the other two of note stories (actual playoff baseball still being played + Rutgers football victory over South Fla).
hooray for Torre!
Who or what are these "Yankees"?
All sympathy from 9/11 is officially gone.
I loved how Gammons wrote an article for the website yesterday with the title 'Indians Are the Story', after he has spent the last 30 years acting as if the Red Sox and Yankees were the only two teams in baseball.
The coverage of this Torre thing by ESPN is just ridiculous. Its almost as if they are becoming a parody of themselves. Like the blogosphere is programming ESPN for comedy's sake.
Rape joke.
A tribute song with less than 60 verses is a slap in the face.
@Deadly – it's difficult to think up that many verses when the guy was there for such a short period of time and never won anything worth noting.
I could write 45 verses about Don Mattingly's mustachio right now if I wanted to.
I didn't even know Dave Pirner from Soul Asylum was a Yankee fan.
Batman once saw Enrico, Robin, and Joe Torre all sneak into the shower together wearing only G-Strings. Then A-Rod and his "female" stripper came out.
Batman was confused
I am "cutting" my-self because Torre is leaving.
I wish my lawn was emo so it would cut itself…
Dave Righetti rubs his palms together in delite.
Elton John just blew a hammy cribbing Torre lyrics and setting them to "Candle In The Wind."
Elton John just blew a hammy
Never heard it called a hammy before.
This sounds like the hidden track on Chinese Democracy
@WDYA: too damn funny
