TIM DONAGHY IS SO DEAD
07.23.07Regular readers of With Leather may recall that I didn't exactly handle the Suns' playoff screw-job very well. And whether Donaghy was fixing Game 3 of Suns-Spurs or not, his part in the shitty officiating certainly raises questions. Which is just awesome. It's really great to be infuriated by this a second time.
NOTE: despite the above video, I'm not responsible for the threatening phone calls to Donaghy's home. Check my phone records. I only call 900 numbers.

Yeah, when I read that Simmons' column, yesterday, I thought, "Wow, I actually dont want to shit in his mouth this time." Even though he was so smug about how he saw it ahead of time and what not. God I want to shit in Bill Simmon's mouth.
this is like when a cop is busted for being dirty….all his previous arrests come into question. the NBA is treading in a mine field on this issue, especially if something like fixing a playoff game can be proven.
you think the Spurs will be forced to give up their trophy, like the NCAA does to teams that experience ill gotten gains??
I haven't been this stoked about an impending sports death since Barbaro!
If this doesn't result in suicide by the week's end I will be shocked.
ALL the NBA Referees get money for shitty officiating . It's called a Salary.
I think we all know what this means:
We have another reason to hate the spurs. San Antonio crime family, anyone?
any chance Tim had a hand in the cavs 4 straight wins over detroit
This dude's gonna have to leave the country… somewhere where they've never heard of basketball like Antarctica or Indonesia. Of course, if he goes to Indo-China I want a motherfucker in a rice-patty ready to pop a cap in his ass.
On Monday, the newspaper reported that former neighbors of Donaghy's in Pennsylvania say they were approached more than a year ago by a private investigator they believed was hired by the NBA to check into Donaghy's gambling habits.
However, The New York Times reported Monday, citing two unidentified people briefed on the investigation, that the NBA didn't know about Donaghy's betting or whether he affected the outcome of games until after the season.
So, if the NBA didn't know, was that private investigator a Fed? Did they know the ref was on the payroll over a year ago? If so, could we please get a copy of all the bank statements of the agents who worked this case during the NBA finals?
So, are we saying that the NBA conspiracy-theorists have been right all along? Wow, Sterno might have more corruption under his nose than the cold envelope. Donaghy's (kinda, well at least for now) living proof that you don't screw with the mafia.
Crap, I just figured this out, that's why my beloved, Wizards can't get deep in the playoffs!!! (…or is it still a lack of 3 other starters???)
Burnsy I agree… this piece of shit will eat a bullet very soon. question is will it be from his own hand or from the mob. either way I'll still be able to sleep at night. way to fuck up a dream job…. jackass.
Countdown to Spurs fans' counter-bitching that they would have won anyway … 5 … 4 … 3 … 2 … 1 …
I just became a Suns fan.
Donaghy shouldve just paid off the mob by founding a Clown College
The Spurs would've won anyway. Stop making excuses.
@ Yamabushi
But could he do the loop-de-loop? And he would he swallow the bike?
yeah, i thought the suns got screwed before, but i just figured that was just me being bitter from the busted nose and the suspensions. now i really feel like i have a legitimate reason to be completely upset. amare fouls out in 21 minutes? i definitely remember talking to my friends after the game about how most of the calls against him were bullshit. now all i wanna know is how many of them did that fucking shithead call. i'd be more scared of suns fans than the mob if i was donaghy.
@ thesexcannon
so you're saying the suns definitely don't have a right to be legitimately pissed off. i remember blowing out the spurs in game 2 and then winning in game 4. our losses were the close loss with nash one the bench in game 1, the donaghy one in game 3, the close loss with our big men gone in game 5, and then the legitimate loss in game 6. i'll give you the game 1 and game 6 loss, but the other two definitely don't show the spurs as the better team. the rings belong to the spurs, but don't ignore the facts. if the suns had donaghy on their side and he sidelined duncan instead of amare in game 3 it would be a much different end to the season.
Simmons' column was beautiful. Plenty of us have assumed the NBA was fixed for years now, good to finally have indisputable confirmation.
sheedshair:
Yes I had a hand in the Cavs straight wins over the Pistons. If screaming my head off while wearing my vintage 72 Cavs t-shirt while watching LeBron make Flip Saunders look foolish counts as having a hand in it.
*4 straight
Why blame Donaghy? That's what they get paid for. Remember Portland/LA game 7 from about 10 yrs ago. It looked about the same, but little girls watched because of Kobe. then Kobe cheated on his wife, so they stopped fixing that crap.
