Just another love story about fans and the projectiles they hurl. Sevilla coach Juande Ramos stepped out onto the field to celebrate his team's go-ahead goal early in the second half of a match against rival Betis, and was promptly knocked unconscious by a two-liter bottle filled with ice and liquid. Man, soccer fans are the classiest. NBX was nice enough to find the video:
Ramos was unconscious for about ten minutes, and the game was suspended and may not be completed. But the coach was level-headed about the incident:
"These are things which happen when matches get heated," he told reporters as he left the hospital on Thursday. "Betis fans aren't represented by the lunatic who threw the bottle."
I gotta disagree with ya there Johnny. Fans pelted your ambulance with rocks, so… yeah. That "lunatic" was a pretty fucking good representative.

I love how the offsides flag went up.
Looks like the ref was in a good position to make that call. It also looks like he’s not going to let a team of medical professionals get in his way either.
BTW what is the call on getting knocked the f— out
In my expierence anywhere between probation and a year in prison. But considering the circumstances, I’d say a Yellow Card is warented.
I wish this would happen to Tom Coughlin.
So get off your ass and make it happen.
It looked like he exagerrated that injury a little bit. Typical
