First of all, let me just say that TNT's NBA coverage is the best there is. From the studio crew to the game announcers, no one does it as well as they do. And, aside from the war crime-like atrocities of his suits, I like everything about Craig Sager — especially his supposed penchant for binge drinking.
That said, this gaffe may be the most memorable event of TNT's coverage so far this season. You have to wait out the first minute and a half of exposition for it to unravel, but it's worth the wait.
Personally, I would have liked it if Sager had said, "It's not my fault. They all look the same to me."

There’s another clip out there where they mistake Macy Gray for his father.
At least this guy corrects himself, which makes this not half as bad as what happened during coverage of a Dutch football game a while ago. They interviewed a man, who turned out to be the father of one of the players (Grot). The next week, they had a crowd shot, leading the announcer to say that it was ‘Nice to see Grot’s father is also present again’. That would have all been fine had the person in the shot actually been the same guy as last week, instead of Grot’s only other black (and suspended) teammate.
it’d be a lot cooler if Chris had two mommies.
I expected to see an interview with Paul Reiser.
Oddly enough, both of Chris’ dads said the exact same thing.
